Claude Code for Jira: an agent on every ticket
Connect Jira once. Your assigned tickets land on the office board, each one gets its own Claude Code agent, and when you approve the work the PR and a summary go back to the ticket.
what happens
-
1/4
Ticket on the board
Jira tickets assigned to you that are not done show up on the office board, from the projects you pick or your own JQL.
-
2/4
An agent per ticket
Click a ticket to hire a worker for it. It gets its own git worktree and branch, and the ticket moves to In Progress.
-
3/4
You approve
The agent writes a plan first. Pushes, installs and deletes wait for your OK, so nothing lands without it.
-
4/4
PR and summary posted back
Mark it done and the PR link and a summary are commented on the ticket. The ticket moves to In Review.

setup
You need
- An Apple Silicon Mac (Windows is coming soon).
- git, and a coding agent you have already signed in to: Claude Code, Codex, Copilot or Cursor.
- A Jira Cloud site you can sign in to. The sign-in is OAuth through Atlassian; there is no API token to paste.
- Install the app. Download it and drag it to Applications.
- Connect Jira. Open Settings, pick Jira under Tickets from, and click Connect Jira. Atlassian’s consent page opens once.
- Pick your projects. Choose which projects reach the board, or write your own JQL. Map each project to the repo it works in.
- Hire from the board. Click a ticket, then Hire. Workers get Jira tools through the office, so they can read the ticket themselves.
faq
Does Claude Code work with Jira?
Yes. Workers run Claude Code by default and get Jira tools through the office, so each one can read its own ticket. You can run Codex, Copilot or Cursor instead.
Do I need a Jira API token?
No. Connect Jira opens Atlassian’s consent page once, over OAuth. The sign-in stays on your Mac, in ~/.agent-office, and nothing is sent to us.
Which tickets show up on the board?
Tickets assigned to you that are not done. Pick projects in Settings, or write your own JQL to decide exactly which ones.
What does it change on my tickets?
Only what you click. Start work moves a ticket to In Progress. Mark done comments the PR link and a summary and moves it to In Review. The status names are configurable if your workflow calls it something else.
